Biography:
Education: Dr. Kasumov studied in 1977-1980 years at Azerbaijan State University, in 1980-1983 years at Leningrad State University.
He worked in 1983-1985 years at Phisics Institute of Azerbaijan AS.
He entered in 1985 the graduate school at Chemical Physics Institute of USSR Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Kasumov completed his Ph.D (protein chemistry) from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
He worked in 1989-1997 years at the Institute of Plant Physiology of USSR/Russia Academy of Sciences on the problems of structure and function interplays of mitochondria.
At present he is General Director of Research and Production Centre «KORVET».
Publication: 85 papers published in Soviet/Russian national and international peer-reviewed journals.
Patents: He has 2 Russian patents.
Research Interest(s): Protein structure, Enzymology, Ion channels, Bioenergy – ATP synthase, ATP synthesis, cytochrome bc1 (b6f) complex, respiration, photosynthesis, etc.
