Summary
I am a Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, College of Plant Protection at Nanjing Agricultural University, China, where I have been a faculty member since 2011.
I completed my Ph.D. and undergraduate studies at Nanjing Agricultural University from 2002-2011. During my Ph.D. study, I became a visiting scholar in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University, USA for one and half years.
My research interests lie in the area of fungal biology, mainly focusing on the molecular mechanisms of fungal pathogenesis and fungus-plant interaction. I like to make friends and like to communicate with people to talk about everything or to discuss the research works. If you like, I warmly welcome you to contact me. We can discuss our work together and seek potential opportunities for cooperation. Thank you very much!
Research areas:Fungal biology/Fungus-Plant interactions
Research in my laboratory focuses on plant pathogenic fungi: We study the molecular mechanisms of fungal pathogenesis and the interactions between fungus and host. We primarily use three fungal pathogens in our investigation: rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae and rice false smut fungus Ustilaginoidea virens on rice, and Fusarium head blight fungus Fusarium graminearum on wheat. The long-term goal of our research is to advance our knowledge about eukaryotic microbiology and to seek better approaches for the management of fungal diseases.
