Summary

Dr. Yuanyuan Wei is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She received her B.E. degree in Precision Instrument from Tsinghua University in 2018. She earned her Ph.D. degree in BME from CUHK in 2023. Her research domain encompasses computational bio-analysis, droplet-based microfluidics, opto-fluidics, and integrative systems for biochemical assays. Along the way, Wei has been recognized with accolades including the Talent Development Scholarship from the Hong Kong Administrative Region Government in 2022/23 and the Champion and Special Award at the Professor Charles K. Kao Student Creativity Awards in 2019. A significant contribution to the literature is her publication in the esteemed Chemical Society Review (Chem. Soc. Rev., 2020, 49, 6555-6567, IF 60.6). Furthermore, Dr. Wei has pioneered a versatile deep-learning pipeline for the analysis of biological samples in droplet reactors, recognized by the influential journal Small Methods (https://doi.org/10.1002/smtd.202301293, IF 15.4).
