Dr. Zhao received Ph. D. degree from
Nanjing University in 2014. And then he
became an assistant professor in Nanjing Chest Hospital of Southeast University
and associate professor in Chengdu Medical College. He also stayed in Jingling Hospital as postdoctoral
fellowship from 2016 to 2020. He is a
member of editorial board of frontiers in oncology. His active research fields
include (1) reversal multidrug resistance induced by reprogrammed metabolism,
(2) new drug research and development for treatment of cancer patients, (3)
primary cancer tissue culture and test of drug sensitivity for personalized
chemotherapy.
Nine years of experience in the laboratory area, of these, seven
years working with projects focused on the use of nanomaterials in the drug
delivery system for the treatment of cancer, and working with projects that
include the study of toxicologic potential of natural and synthetic products as
well as the mechanisms related to the biological responses and how those
substances can modulate the DNA of tumor and non-tumor cells, in vitro and in
vivo. Bachelor degree of Science in Biological Sciences since 2012, a Master of
Science in 2015, and currently in the last year of PhD, with a thesis defence
scheduled for January 2021. Was honored as the best graduate student
(2012), obtained honorable mention as the best work presented by the Brazilian
Society of Genetics (2012) and was the winner in the academic work presentation
contest (2017).
Research
interests: Genotoxicity and antigenotoxicity
(micronucleus test, comet assay, chromosomal aberrations); carcinogenicity
(focus of aberrant crypts); antitumor test; antiproliferative activity and
cytotoxicity of medicinal plant extracts, isolated and synthetic substances and
nanomaterials in mammalian cells (in vivo and in vitro studies).
Fatemeh Kazemi-Lomedasht is assistant professor of venom and
biotherapeutics laboratory, Biotechnology Department of Pasteur Institute of
Iran with Ph.D. degrees in medical biotechnology. Her current research interests include cancer
researches, venom and toxin researches, next generation of antibodies, epitope
mapping, drug discovery and drug delivery systems. She is the corresponding
author of about 30 papers, and passed more than 14 Masters and 4 PhD students.
